Ipsy Bag September 2016 - Glamazon

Well it has been certainly a hot minute since I last posted. I ended up in the hospital with a serious condition but after a few surgeries and some home care I'm back.

I've missed a bunch of Ipsy unboxings because of what was going on and also ended up unsubscribing from Birchbox for personal reasons. Below is September's bag

Shopping on the cheap

A recent trip to Big Lots gave me an idea for a new post about going to cheaper stores, finding deals and not paying so much for things that I love to splurge on.  Thankfully Big Lots to the rescue with overstock and discontinued items. Just a warning though, not all products will be in all Big Lots and sometimes if one store has it one day they  may not have it the next day.

So, I'm a big fan of lotions that instantly melt into your skin and leave no residue. I was surprised by this lotion and it's ability to do that. Usually cheap lotions are greasy and never ending on the skin. I took a chance on a dollar lotion and it payed off. The back states it is distributed by TriCostalDesign and the finished product is not tested on animals. But that doesn't really mean diddly when it comes to the pre-finished stuff.

It smells like hospital antibacterial soap but nicer. Not sure if that translates well to how it smells but I'm serious, it smells like that.

I love finding Maybelline there and they're usually hidden because they go super quick! By this I mean that they get a shipment of makeup and it's usually already picked through to get the best brands. I've seen Revlon, Covergirl, Maybelline, etc. Another thing to look out for is if the product isn't in shrink wrap OR a package check to see if anyone tested it out.

This color is actually still part of their current collection and I found it on the website here but there are rumors that it will be discontinued. Lust for Blush, #25, is a rosy pink nude which is very wearable all year round. It was only $3.50USD which they go for about $8USD on the website.

That's it for now! I don't usually find things in one trip so I hope I can test out more products that are new to me!

Ipsy Bag July-February

Seems like I got a little behind! I'm going to jam all the pictures in one post so you can see what you can get each month in each bag.

Ipsy $10 a month, cancel at any time.
For $10 a month you receive a makeup bag and about 4-5 deluxe sized to full sized samples of products. The products can range from low to high priced and are from brands you already know to new ones that are just out in the market. Every month they have a large array of products they could send out based on a test you take when you first sign up.

June Ipsy Bag

Summer has finally showed ...like 2 months ago BUT! it still is here and not nearly finished. Rebecca Minkoff designed this months bag and I swear before we got it, I had seen this pattern in a magazine or on a tv show. I had serious deja vu when I saw it.

March Ipsy Bag

Sorry! This is a little late as I completely forgot to post this. But the show must go on! Next post will be April and within a few weeks we will have May's already.

If you don't know Ipsy is $10 USD a month taken out on the 1st of every month, then an email is sent sometime after the 10th to the 15th with your tracking info. Usually after the email you'll receive a bag within a few days with 4-5 either full size or samples of makeup products that are tailored to you from a test given on the site.
